Sydney to Melbourne Drive

Your first stop is Bowral, only a 90min drive from Sydney. It's the largest town in the Southern Highlands with picturesque rolling hills & 1800’s historic houses. Stroll through the antique stores, vineyards and enjoy a scrumptious brunch at any of the gourmet restaurants.

Goulburn is a proud historic town established in 1863. It is known for its wool industry, and "The Big Marino," a 15-meter-high sculpture, is positioned at the southern exit. Be sure to take a break and savour the local charm with a cup of coffee and a delicious hot country pie at Trappers Bakery.

Turn up the stereo and sing along to the Aussie classic ‘Along The Road to Gundagai’ because that's where you're heading! Here you’ll stop for a photo opportunity with the famous ‘Dog on a Tuckerbox’ and explore the Heritage Railway and the Old Gaol.

Just under 2 hours and you’ll be in the Murray Valley area which is Albury Wodonga. You’ll find plenty of action as well as peace and quiet. From wakeboarding to water-skiing on Lake Hume to a blissful glass of wine or hot chocolate round a fireplace at the many rustic charm cafes. It's all here whatever you are looking for.

The last leg of the journey is 3.5 hours. Melbourne, Australia’s cultural capital is the final destination for this trip. A free city circle tourist tram is available which is perfect if you want to park the car for the day. Being a city, the options are endless. Discover the coolest cafes & bars down graffiti-lined laneways. Shop at Queen Victoria Markets for local and gourmet delicacies. Wander through the many historic sites such as Federation Square, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
